Global Consulting Firms, God and Machine Guns: Global Finance and Acid Rain

Strange title I know but how else do you describe what is going on in the global finance scene. With the master weave of God and Country which equal patriotism and prosperity, what happens when it all collapses? Chaos! It would be great to believe that there are a few men in a locked room somewhere who were controlling this economic collapse and in just a matter of time they would flip a switch and it would all be ok again but none of us are nave enough to believe such a backwards conspiracy theory.

The truth is far worse. The world bank creates money starting with digital imprints on a computer screen, a little money to reel in the third world, import western goods that they can’t afford, create a situation of debt and bam, we control another country and blame it on the World Bank and the IMF and all these numbers on a screen take a shape of their own in the minds of the global populace as ‘truth’. By truth I mean the international population accepts these numbers that are nothing more than a digital expression of a think tank drone that has been trained to believe that people are pawns and that government fractions within governments is just the way it is.

But people have lost the confidence in those imaginative numbers on the screen. People have lost hope that there is someone on the other side looking out for their interests to make sure that there are jobs, a paycheck and food on the table.

Mainstream confidence in the economic powers that be is disintegrating like a sugar cube in boiling water. With our military fighting battles on multiple fronts, men, women and children have to fight to keep the governments grimy claws out of their back pockets. The Fed, top tier investment banking gurus and global financial demigods just sit and slobber at senate hearings as they, just as we know that they are all for show. The government will use this to distract global citizens until the next distraction is placed on the board and the underhanded motivations of crooked power players will have their way again.

Between the crumbling of this economic house of cards, absence of God and global warming who can step in and save us? The answer is, good old fashioned entrepreneurialship. You, me and the small business down the street. Stop looking to institutional and governmental solutions. They’ll promise you a dollar and steal your soul.

GSBC Global – Digicurve LOI Agreement

Bangkok, Thailand (PRWEB) March 20, 2007

Digital Signage specialist GSBC Global today has successfully negotiated an LOI to become listed on the NASDAQ’s Over-the-Counter Bulletin Board. The founder of GSBC Global, Mr Ronald Flynn, worked with Digicurve Inc. to enter into the letter of intent to complete an asset purchase of GSBC Global Inc.

GSBC Global announced that it has been acquiring key technologies and assets for the past 6 months and the company now has a stable of digital signage products including software, hardware and content specialists.

Mr Flynn added “Our acquisitions have world class products that will be the springboard of our initial growth, particularly because we have brought along highly experienced teams of senior executives and staff, many of whom have been world leaders in the digital signage sector, enhancing the existing business of Digicurve”.

It is intended that upon closing that Ron Flynn would step down from the operational side of GSBC Global and from the interim Board. It is anticipated that the management team of Digicurve – including Mr. Greg Brown – will be joining the GSBC Global executive team.

Joining GSBC Global as Group Chief Operating Officer is Peter Smith – founder of the m-cast, Info-Onscreen and Digital Streams companies and one of the most experienced people in multimedia management systems and digital signage systems today.

Upon closing, included in the transaction would be the highly advanced m-cast digital signage software. The m-cast system is designed for the targeted scheduling of advertising messages. It can interact with point-of-sale systems using an advanced Xpert system to target screen and coupon based offers to customers. In the European market, m-cast is being integrated into the brands of point of sale systems installed by retailers, fast food chains and high street retailers.

As part of GSBC Global’s assets is the New Zealand based Wallflower Global, the largest digital signage software developer in Australasia. The Wallflower product has been successfully deployed by Telstra, Vodafone, Mazda and in universities, casinos, airports and in many retail display systems.

Other acquisitions GSBC Global has recently completed include content and distribution companies including:

Citizens Urged to Take Precaution as Tropical Storm Alice Heads towards the Virtual World Whyville.com: The Consequences of Global Warming Demonstrated in the Virtual World to Encourage Kids to Learn More about This Important Issue

PASADENA, Calif. (PRWEB) June 26, 2007

Tropical Storm Alice is intended to raise awareness of global climate issues and is associated with the opening of the new Whyville Climate Center, which is sponsored by Penguin Young Readers Group, the publisher of Al Gore’s young adult book, “An Inconvenient Truth: The Crisis of Global Warming” (Viking Children’s Books/Rodale Books $ 16.00; 208 pages; Ages 11 up). The Climate Center will serve as the focal point for the discussion and further educational activities, while significant virtual rainfall continues for at least another 12-36 hours. This will result in widespread flooding and destruction throughout Whyville, with considerable rubbish and debris littering the virtual world. Whyville’s citizens will need to join together in a massive clean up effort to restore their environment over the next several days.

The arrival of the tropical storm coincides with a new effort to educate Whyville’s citizens about global climate issues. According to a survey conducted on the site in May 2007, 77 percent of responding citizens said that they were aware of the concept of global warming. However, only 50 percent felt they could be a part of the solution.

The Climate Center’s initial activities will focus on changes in the levels of greenhouse gases in the Whyville atmosphere, especially carbon dioxide. In the center’s CO2 Lab, citizens will be able to document increases in carbon dioxide in the virtual atmosphere from the site’s creation in 1999 to today. Traveling back in time, Whyvillians will sample CO2 levels from each year and look for correlations with specific human activity. Information on historical events in Whyville, including the rate of population growth and introduction of new industries, will be obtained from the Whyville Times (the newspaper of Whyville, with articles written by kids). Citizens will also be able to propose hypotheses and debate consequences in bulletin boards within the Climate Center.

“The objective of this activity is not to prove any particular association between greenhouse gases and the climate, in general, or our first tropical storm in particular,” said Dr. James Bower, CEO of Whyville. “Instead, we want to help kids understand the complexity involved in the growing international debate on these issues and get them involved in that discussion, since we already know that they care.”

Activities in the Whyville Climate Center will also support citizen involvement in solving the problem of greenhouse gas emission. Each citizen will be assigned their own carbon footprint calculator in order to assess their individual contribution to rising CO2 levels in the virtual world. The size of their footprint will increase, or decrease, depending on the personal choices they make, such as the number of virtual accessories they produce in Whyville’s avatar factory, the number of trips taken around the world in the warp wagon, the number of times they teleport to the moon or mars, or even which types of foods they choose to eat. Whyvillians who substantially reduce their impact will be recognized with a distinctive green badge for their avatar and will even be able to trade their carbon credits to other Whyvillians for “clams,” Whyville’s virtual currency.

“We know from our surveys that Whyvillians are concerned about environmental issues, but don’t believe that they can do very much to have an impact themselves,” said Dr. Jen Sun, president of Whyville. “This activity is intended to address both the complexities of this issue, as well as provide examples of ways that our kids can get involved – not only in our virtual world but also in the real world.”

Over the coming months, this new climate education activity will continue to unfold, impacting Whyville and its citizens in parallel to developments on this important issue in the real world.
