Keywest Technology Releases 4-Channel Signage Player That Connects to Cloud Services

4-Channel Digital Signage Media Player

Keywest Technology has launched another multi-head digital signage player using an Intel® Core™ i7 CPU running on an Ubuntu® open source software platform. The 4-channel signage player supports up to four 1080P channels, which provides a dynamic, high-res presentation for menu systems or video walls. The player is controlled via the company’s cloud-based digital signage service called Breeze Digital Signage℠.

Just before the summer concert season, Keywest Technology contracted AVIES TECH to install the Breeze 4-channel system at Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Kansas City Chiefs. The Breeze system lights up club-level digital menu boards at eight concessions stands using 42 Philips thin-bezel displays.

Lisa Ramsour, Project Manager at Keywest Technology, commented that the 4-channel Breeze players performed like “rock stars” during a Rolling Stones concert held at the 80,000-seat venue in June. “One menu item needed to be changed instantly because a food vendor sent crispy chicken rather than grilled. One phone call to Keywest Creative and the new menus were updated instantly. The service staff and management were delighted!”

Working in conjunction with Breeze Digital Signage, Keywest Technology offers network-managed services through Keywest Creative that provide restaurant owners and venue managers all of the benefits of digital menu boards without any of the worry that comes from technical snafus and creative management.

“The Breeze 4-channel signage player expands Keywest Technology’s capabilities in network-managed services,” said Nick Nichols, Keywest Technology’s President. “With Breeze, we’re not just offering the nuts and bolts of digital signage, but full-on network management that delivers expert results at a reasonable price. The 4-channel Breeze system extends our ability to create and manage robust menu systems or video walls offsite, which not only offers greater utility to clients but also offers far-reaching service value.”

Although network-managed services is an integral part of the Breeze Digital Signage value proposition, restaurant and venue managers may login to Breeze using the ubiquitous web browser to control the 4-channel signage player. Browser access gives managers advanced digital signage management tools like a template builder, nested playlists, an advertising module, an admin approval queue and handy widgets that add useful features such as weather or data integration. Also, Breeze can also be accessed and controlled via a smartphone. This essentially gives it “pocket control” for those that want to manage the system themselves while on the go, or at least make last-minute changes if a standard browser is not available.

The Breeze 4-channel signage player commenced shipping this spring, and it’s available from authorized AV system and architectural integrators throughout North America. Interested parties and resellers are encouraged to visit the Breeze Digital Signage website for more information: http://www.breezedigitalsignage.com/

Organizations in different industry must be able to communicate instantly throughout their facilities when an emergency situation occurs. In these situations it is important that employees, customers and visitors are aware of the situation. LED wireless message boards enable an administrator to send messages throughout their facility so that all the message boards receive messages.

The Innovation Wireless Message Board System is easy to install and straightforward to use. The central communication device is the KRONsync transmitter and used in conjunction with the Wireless Message Board Software delivers a highly effective emergency broadcast system.

Go Here Now to Learn More! http://www.innovationwireless.com/products/kronosync-transmitter.html

The system makes it very simple for an individual to broadcast critical and non-critical messages throughout a facility or a campus. By connecting a standard USB cable from an administrator’s computer to the KRONOsync transmitter the administrator can broadcast messages to all their message boards.

The KRONOsync transmitter’s broadcast will completely cover a facility and is operational 24/7. An organization can have an infinite number of message boards throughout your facility.

To provide an example on how the system would work in a school environment let’s consider a LOCKDOWN situation. If a school wants to activate a LOCKDOWN the school principal or administrator can have the LOCKDOWN message prerecorded so that she can just select the message and broadcast the message. Instantly the LOCKDOWN message would override any existing messages and display LOCKDOWN on all the message boards.

The LED message board software allows you different display options. You can select scrolling if you would like the messages to scroll across the board. The scrolling option allows you to select the scrolling speed that is appropriate for your message. You also can select messages to be displayed in different LED colors. Messages can be recorded and stored in the software so that in emergency situations with the click of a button an emergency broadcast message can happen.

MediaSignage Adds Even More Social Components to its Open Digital Signage Platform

MediaSignage, Inc. (http://www.digitalsignage.com/), provider of digital signage hardware and software solutions announces the release of 10 new smart, social components to its digital signage software platform. The latest release includes smart application and integration tools for Dropbox, Tumblr, 500px, Etsy, Mashape, Yelp, Pinterest, Good Drive v2, Flickr and Twitter v2. The latest releases allow digital sign network operators more control and options over the types of content their users can view and interact with on-screen. The new components also provide more relevant targeting and interactivity for end-users, allowing business owners to be more selective in honing in on the types of content most relevant to their company’s demographic.

What follows is a description of each of the latest smart components, newly integrated into the company’s flagship platform, the SignageStudio:

Pinterest – Users can browse and pin their favorite content from the web. And now they can integrate their entire Pinterest content right onto their digital signage presentation. It’s easy to setup and will keep audiences engaged in quality content.

Tumblr – It lets users effortlessly share anything. Post text, photos, quotes, links, music, and videos from a browser, phone, desktop, and email. Users can customize everything, from colors to a theme’s HTML. And best of all, content can be also be pushed right into a signage presentation.

Flickr – Upload photos and share them on public displays. Popular photo-sharing site Flickr is a also a photo hosting service with advanced and powerful features. It supports an active and engaged community where people share and explore each other’s photos.

Dropbox – Dropbox integration was one of the most requested features and it’s finally here. Dropbox is a home for all photos, docs, videos, and files. Anything a user can add to Dropbox will automatically show up on all their computers and of course, also inside their digital signage presentation.

500px – It is a photo community for discovering, sharing, buying and selling inspiring photography powered by creative people worldwide. And with our component, users can load their favorite 500px images directly into their presentation.

Etsy – Its a peer-to-peer e-commerce website focused on handmade or vintage items and supplies, as well as unique factory-manufactured items. Now users can have their favorite store as part of their digital presentation.

Yelp – People use Yelp to search for everything from the city’s tastiest burger to the most renowned cardiologist. With the Yelp component users can display their favorite Yelp business information and even show live updates on the latest Yelp review, Yelp score and even star posts.

Mashape – It’s a great way to get relevant live data such as current Bitcoin rates, currency exchange rates or even cool movie quotes straight to a digital signage screen.

Google Drive v2 – In version 2 of Google Drive we added support for folders. So users can now pick any specific folder and drill down to deep content. We also completely refactored the caching system for offline playback, so it works flawlessly.

Twitter v3 – In version 2 we added support for Twitter images, additional fields and also completely refactored the caching system for offline playback, so it works flawlessly.

“We’re extremely excited about what the new components mean for both network operators and end-users,” says Nate Nead, company president. “We’re at a growth inflection point as a company and as an industry. We’re just providing the tools that allow our customers to succeed mightily.”

MediaSignage screens are currently installed in bus stations, restaurants, movie theaters, retail establishments, schools, government facilities and corporate offices. Due to the differences in viewer preferences between the varied types of locations, screen managers regularly need to vary the types of content their displaying to match the demographic preferences of specific viewer audiences. Now with dozens of smart components, the MediaSignage flagship product, the SignageStudio is ready to provide more tools for better customer engagement than ever before. Users interested in trying some of the latest tools are invited to visit the company website and set up a free acount by clicking here.
