Mit dem MediaCento HX des IT- und TK-Spezialisten Black Box kann der Audio- und Video-Inhalt einer HD-Quelle verlustfrei über einfache CATx-Kabel auf eine Vielzahl von Bildschirmen verteilt werden. Dabei sind Entfernungen von bis zu 500 Metern möglich. Auf diese Weise lassen sich bereits verlegte Kupferkabel nutzen und die Displays flexibel dort platzieren, wo sie die meiste Aufmerksamkeit erhalten. Neben dem Full HD-Bild mit 36 Bit Farbtiefe wird als Teil des HDMI-Signals auch 7.1-Kanal Surround-Ton übermittelt – beides auf alle vier Empfängern absolut synchron und ohne wahrnehmbare Verzögerung. Das System ist somit ideal geeignet für Digital Signage-Installationen in Geschäften, öffentlichen Gebäuden oder Hotel-Lobbys.
